FATHER, SPIRIT, & SON. There is one true God, who is infinitely perfect, existing eternally in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Deuteronomy 6:4, John 14:9, Matthew 3:13-17)
INERRANT WORD OF GOD. The Bible is the inspired inerrant Word of God, a revelation from God to man, the infallible rule of faith and conduct, and is superior to conscience and reason. It gives an accurate and historical account, to the present and to the return of CHRIST. (2 Timothy 4:3-4, 2 Timothy 3:16, Acts 1:11, Matthew 24:30-31, Revelation 16:15).
CREATION CORRUPTED AND FALLEN. Man was created good and upright for GOD said “Let Us make man in our image, after our likeness.” But man, by voluntary transgression, fell and his only source of hope of redemption is in Jesus Christ the Son of God (Genesis 1:26-31, Genesis 3:1-7, Romans 5:12-21).
THE PLAN OF MARRIAGE. Marriage is part of GOD’S plan and was established by GOD in creation between a man and a woman. (Genesis 2:18-22, Mark 10:6-9)
PLAN OF SALVATION. Before the fall of humanity GOD established a plan to reconcile creation to HIMSELF through the offspring of Eve (Genesis 3:21). JESUS was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary and was the fulfillment of the promised Messiah who offers us hope and salvation (John 19:30). People must believe, accept, repent and obey (Romans 10:9). Throughout the Old Testament we find evidence of GOD’S plan. (Genesis 3:21, Leviticus 4, Hebrews 9:22).
EVIDENCE OF THE BELIEVER. We must be born again spiritually. The inward evidence to the believer is displayed outwardly. Works don't save us, grace does, but the internal work of GOD manifests itself through our outward actions. Grace does not justify sin, but frees us from the bondage of it through the power and work of the HOLY SPIRIT. (John 3:1-8, Hebrews 10:26-27,John 14:15, John 14:16-17, John 15:26-27, Romans 6:1-2). The believer is one that embarks inthe process of sanctification. A lifestyle of looking more like JESUS that ends the moment CHRIST returns or this life ends. (Philippians 1:6)
BAPTISM. The ordinance of baptism should be observed as commanded in the scriptures by all who have repented and believe in Christ as Savior and Lord. Baptism is the outward response to the internalized gospel. It is an outward symbol of cleansing, while their heart has already been sprinkled with the blood of Christ as in inner cleansing. They declare to the world that they have died with Jesus and been raised with Him to walk in newness of life. (Matthew 28:19, Acts 10:47, Acts 48, Romans 6:4, Acts 20:21, Hebrews 10:22). Baptism is a response of the believer and not an act of salvation. (Luke 23:41-43)
THE CHURCH. The church is the body of Christ. The church is not established by a building, but by people. Each believer, born of the spirit, is an integral part of the church, for the purpose of worshipping GOD and making HIS name known by accomplishing the mission. The Church gathers to encourage one another, learn together, build each other up, and play the role within the church with the gifts and abilities GOD has given us. Church life is encouraged by scripture and should be part of the believers life. (Hebrews 10:24-25, Ecclesiastes 4:12, 1 Corinthians 12:12-27)
HEAVEN AND HELL. We believe in an eternal existence in heaven for those who are in CHRIST, and a separation in hell for those who walk apart from HIM. This is what drives us to fulfill the mission of going and sharing the gospel with others. Because without CHRIST in this life, there is no hope of an eternity with HIM in eternity. (Matthew 25:31-46, Matthew 7:21)
JESUS’ RETURN. The second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ is imminent and will be personal and visible. (Acts 1:11, Matthew 24:30-31, Revelation 16:15)
Christians are saved:
By grace alone
Through faith alone
In Christ alone
As revealed by Scripture alone
To the glory of God alone.
